The pleasure of handing out blankets!!!

On Thurday 22 July, Rotarians Solly Mogola, Alta Baartman and Anja Chrissopolous had the privilege of handing out 80 blankets to needy disabled children and elderly identified by CMR and Karnallie Land. This was very sad to see the definite need for these blankets and the expressions of joy upon receipt of much needed blankets. It is a pity that we will never have enough to address these needs fully.

President Charles Deiner Inducted

Owen Maruleni handed over the chain of office as President of the Middelburg Rotary Club to Charles Deiner at the end of July. It was a wonderful evening which was graced with the presence of the past present and future District governors of the District, Albie van de Venter, Francis Callard and Anton Meerkotter.

Before his induction Charles's work in water projects over the last few years was recognised with a Paul Harris Fellowship. Dr Kola was also recognised with a Paul Harris Fellowship for his humanitarian work.

PP Andre Brandmuller presented on his Group Study Exchange experience to Connecticut.

The evening concluded with a committed club in support of President Charles for the coming year.
