Disadvantaged seniors to Badplaas!!

The Middelburg Rotary Club has arranged for a number of disadvantaged senior citizens to spend a week at the Rotary Holiday Resort at Badplaas. We would like to thank the Midway Hotel for their hospitality on the morning befor the departure of the group and Rotarians Hennie and Engela Engelbrecht for the warm reception of the group at Badplaas.
A word of thanks also to Rotarian Colleen Deiner for all the hard work that has gone into this project.

The start of a new era in the edu container project!!!

The Edu Container partnership between the 6 Rotary clubs in Canada under the leadership of the Grand Bend Club and the Middelburg Rotary Club is about to enter a new phase. We have been advised that approximately 100 containers filled with books and educational equipment could be shipped to D9400 in the next few years. This will leave us in a position to address the immense needs and shortages in a large number of needy schools.

Our friends in Canada visited Middelburg a few months ago and have prepared a 35 minute documentary film which they are now using to gather support for our project. The film will soon be available for viewing in SA.  Here is the official trailer of the film.

Please follow the link below to see the report on the premier and a 2 minute extract from the film.
Movie premiere a big success!!!!

Pres Graeme Leathes inducted!

President Andre Brandmuller inducted Graeme Leathes as president of the Middelburg Rotary Club for the 2014/15 Rotary Year on 21 June 2014. It was a wonderful evening during which the Middelburg Rotary Club had the opportunity to celebrate a year during which we changed lives while we were engaging in Rotary.

The club also used the opportunity to recognise Tanya Museler and the EPA Group of Companies for their contributions to the needy community at Sango Village.
